Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Synodician, Inc. ("Synodician," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our marketing website at synodician.com. It does not cover the Basirah platform itself, which has its own terms and data handling practices.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
We collect information you voluntarily submit through three forms on this site:
- Demo request form (/basirah/demo): first name, last name, work email, company, phone (optional), role, company size, and message (optional). Personal email domains (e.g., gmail.com, yahoo.com) are rejected.
- Contact form (/contact): name, email, company (optional), subject, and message.
- Newsletter signup (/news): email address only.
All three forms include a hidden honeypot field for bot detection. No data is collected from this field for legitimate submissions.
Information Collected Automatically
We use browser storage (not cookies) to capture a small amount of session context. The specific keys and their purposes are documented in our Cookie Policy. In summary:
- Session attribution (sessionStorage): UTM parameters, referring domain, and landing page. Cleared automatically when you close the tab.
- Engagement log (sessionStorage): up to 60 in-session events recording which sections you viewed and which CTAs you clicked. Also cleared on tab close.
- Product tour state (localStorage): a single flag (
basirah-tour-unlocked) remembering whether you completed the interactive tour. Persists until you clear it. - Theme preference (localStorage): your dark/light mode choice (
syn-theme). Persists until you clear it.
If you submit a demo request, the session attribution and a summary of engagement events from that session are included with your form submission. No browser storage data is transmitted to us otherwise.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to demo requests and schedule follow-up conversations
- Answer questions submitted through the contact form
- Send our newsletter to subscribers who opted in
- Route and prioritize demo follow-up using session attribution data (e.g., which campaign or page led to the request)
- Understand which pages and sections drive engagement, so we can improve the website
- Detect and prevent spam or abuse (via honeypot fields)
- Comply with legal obligations if required
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it for advertising purposes.
We share your information only in these circumstances:
- Formspree (form handling): All three forms on this site submit data through Formspree, a third-party form processing service. Formspree receives the form fields you submit and, for demo requests, the session attribution and engagement metadata included with that submission.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Protection of rights: We may disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of Synodician, our users, or the public.
4. Data Security
This is a static marketing website. All traffic is served over TLS. Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS to Formspree. We do not store your data on our own servers — it resides with Formspree until we retrieve it.
No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
- Demo request data: Retained for 12 months, then deleted unless you become a customer.
- Contact form submissions: Retained for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.
- Session attribution and engagement metadata: If submitted with a demo request, retained with that request for up to 12 months.
- Newsletter subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe. Unsubscribe records are kept indefinitely to honor your preference.
- Browser storage: sessionStorage clears when you close the tab. localStorage persists until you clear it through your browser settings. Neither is transmitted to us unless you submit a demo form.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We do not set cookies or run third-party analytics scripts on this site. No advertising tags, no social tracking pixels, no cross-site tracking identifiers, no browser fingerprinting.
We use minimal browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) for functional behavior and first-party measurement. This browser storage is not a cookie — it remains in your browser and is only transmitted if you submit a demo request. Full details, including every storage key and its purpose, are in our Cookie Policy.
You can clear browser storage at any time through your browser settings. Closing the tab clears all sessionStorage values.
If we later enable analytics or any cookie-based functionality, we will update this policy and our Cookie Policy before rollout.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information. We support the following:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal obligations.
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@synodician.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
